Summer Blogging

School's Out. Sup?Well, School’s Out.  I’m leaving for awhile, but I hope I can check email on my trip and approve blog comments.  It would be great to hear what you’re all doing and of course read about all the fascinating texts you’re reading and writing.  Cross your fingers for me.  I’m going to be a dissertation drone for the next couple of months.  Happy Summer, Sixers…I mean, Sevvies!

Penultimate Day

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Today was the penultimate day of the school year.  Do you know what “penultimate” means?

Many of you have asked about keeping the blog going over the summer.  I’m leaving on Sunday so I’ll be away from email for awhile, but whenever I get the chance, I’ll definitely approve comments if there are any.  The picnic today was fun.  How’d the tournament go?  Field Day!

A little culture, anyone?

Durer

What were the highlights of your day at the museums?  I love the collections at the Mathers.  And the mummy at the Art Museum.  Also, eating lunch outside was fun.  This Durer woodcut was very awesome too.  Thanks to our parent chaperones, and thanks all you sixers for being such great participants in the tours.  Everyone kept remarking that you were extremely smart and respectful.  Hoorah!  4 More DAYS!
