Week of February 10

Monday:  Today we continued to discuss When Marian Sang.  We also read a TFK article about Dr. H.’s new favorite band called BTS.  We practiced creating sentences with the word precarious.  The Dolphin Freedom group met and talked about dolphin poachers and their motivation.  We talked about the money that poachers get from organizations that want to use the dolphins for profit.  In the afternoon, we explored perimeter and area.  We tried to make as many rectangles as we could with an area of 12 square units.  We also worked on writing two step word problems.  We ended the day with our book buddies.  A good day in Room 200.
